Two Ways to Give on this Giving Tuesday With The HOPE Project & Photo Scraps

Hi Everyone,

#GivingTuesday inspires personal philanthropy

and encourages bigger, better and smarter

charitable giving during the holiday season,

show that the world truly gives as good as it
gets.

The third annual #GivingTuesday will take place

 on December 2, 2014.

Dear Photo Scraps Friends,

As most of you may know, I started a 501(c)3 non-profit called HOPE Project to help bring dignity back to the homeless in our community.

For many of the homeless, poverty is more than the physical aspect-- they feel like trash. At the shelters they are normally served on paper plates and disposable silverware-- trash. Our solution is to provide an upper class, fancy restaurant for them in the local shelters.

We are partnering with Human Service Project, a non-profit that runs 6 shelters. Our restaurant will be served in the Safe Haven shelter, a shelter for mentally ill people that helps them get back on their feet. Corina, the director of shelters at HSP, says that the mentally ill are often those that don't get attention and help from outside agencies like the Cold Weather shelter does. She says they often have low self-esteem and that HOPE Project could help them a great deal.

In order to make this happen, we need to raise $2,500 to cover the costs of interior design, food, and dinner items (napkins, silverware, etc.)

Some of you have already helped HOPE Project--THANK YOU SO MUCH. I'm so grateful for you reading this. If you feel lead to come along side us and help be apart of our vision, you can donate on our campaign page by clicking the Donate button below.
Our deadline is New Years Eve at midnight!

Again, thank you already for how much you guys have supported me,
Kirstin Beck

Support the Foster Parents of Carroll County this holiday season!

"As some of you know, my husband and I are foster parents for Carroll County Maryland. Thanks to Carroll County DSS we have been able to adopt 3 beautiful children. As a way to recognize all of the foster parents in Carroll County, I held a Thirty-One fundraiser. 27 generous people donated $35 each which will be used to purchase a zip top organizing tote for each foster family. I am covering the tax and shipping costs and I am using my commission to purchase items such as toiletries, first aid supplies etc.to fill the bags. I really want to make this a special gift so I need some help with filling the bags. This is such a great cause as these families give so much to help the children in our community. PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME SHOW THEM HOW IMPORTANT THEY ARE!" Kim

Donation items include: Shampoo (Adult & Children), Soap (Adult & Children), Toothpaste & Toothbrushes (Adult & Children), Baby Wipes, Hand Soap, Hand Sanitizer, Band Aids, Lotion, Card Games for all ages, Baby Wipes, $10 Walmart Gift Cards.

Donations will be collected until December 5th at Photo Scraps Store in Eldersburg, MD.

Each person who makes a donation will be added into a drawing for a fun & functional Thirty-One organizing tote bag!
